Portland Police Bureau

[Still Under Construction]

Portland Police Bureau (PPB) is the law enforcement agency within the city of Portland.

Brief History:

Initially names the Portland Metropolitan Police Force, the PPB was established in 1870 by the Portland City Council. In the 21st century the PPB has been credibly accused of engaging in abuse of force, particularly against BIPOC residents, and covering up investigations.

During the George Floyd protests, PPB has used violent tactics such as (banned) tear gas, flash bombs, impact weapons, and more to attempt to dissolve protests.
